This motor is a Caille "square tank Liberty Single". Note the cast aluminum exhaust. That is the big tip off. There is an obvious and rather clumsy repair to the top of the gas tank.

That welded piece does not belong and the tank should lift off the support on the back of the cylinder. On the top there would have been a small handle.

This is the second model Liberty Single square tank and it's missing a few bits: sliding door on the battery box, tiller handle, gas line from the tank to the mixing valve and both transom pads. The hold down plate on the top of the gas tank is not original. The priming cup on the side of the cylinder is of the wrong type.

Even with all these problems it's a nice motor with very good decals. The missing parts are easily replaced.
I'll leave the gas tank as is, I think.
