C14 Waterman
# 141956 in pieces

This is something that turned up in an auction site's archive. The description said

"Up for auction is a Waterman model C14 three horsepower outboard engine. Serial number 141956. Made in Detroit, MI sometime in the early 1900's. What you see in the pictures is what you get.

The cylinder and and crankcase are in fair condition and probably serviceable. There is no piston or flywheel. Part of the bracket that holds the points is broken and part of it is missing.

I'm not sure what else might be missing as I'm not familiar with this particular engine. The copper water jacket appears visually to be intact and not cracked, but has not been checked in any other way. I have not checked any of the parts other than a visual inspection.

The engine is being sold as is and is in poor condition. Some parts maybe serviceable, but not guaranteed. "
